In non-past work drama experience news...
Guess where we're going next Monday? Mammoth Cave! There's one catch though, it's with 30 high school freshmen in 4 suburbans. Darn, there's always a catch! This means I have to be on my best behavior for a whole week. Dang! I'll be sure to take pictures for you guys. The high school geology department needed more chaperones so we volunteered. Thankfully the kids were hand selected by the geology teacher as being the best behaved, most academically inclined ones; the good kids. Oh yeah, we're camping!
So I'm busy getting ready for that. I also have my first juried art show this Saturday in Jackson. I'm stoked. It's an art and wine festival which is great because people will get bombed and buy my stuff. Win win!

Well guys, I'm still here. I apologize for my lack of updating. I've been going through a lot of tough stuff lately. I guess I don't update when I'm going through difficulties, which is exactly when I should be updating.
Let's just say I quit my job, and thank God I did.
It was a bad situation.

Ugggghh, my internet is totally effed up! Stuff isn't loading right, pages are just timing out before they load, etc. It's really annoying and I hope we get it figured out. So yeah.
Work is INSANE. I've gotten to be on the bench a lot more lately, which I love! I'm getting to do a lot of customer repairs and sizings. Good times. I'd much rather be back there repairing jewelry than selling jewelry most days.
Now on to the most important part of my update... Here's a random thought, you know those commericals advertising California milk products? You know, the whole "Happy cows come from California" campaign? First of all, WHY do the California dairy people need to advertise? Don't a lot people in California drink milk and eat cheese? And why are THEIR cows happier? Can they prove it? I think Michigan has lots of happy cows thank you very much. I've MET them. I mean geez, California is like, the attention whore of the United States. Do we really need to start worshiping THEIR cows like we worship Hollywood celebrities? I don't think so.
There. I said it.

Is it just me or is LJ unusually slow? I went to do some commenting and my connection timed out trying to comment. Annoying! So yeah, I meant well but anywho.
It's been busy this past week. My Aquarium post is coming soon! Ya'll are going to love it.
I've been designing a lot of jewelry for people, lots of clients lately. It's a lot of fun, but hard sometimes. Like, how to incorporate a lady's existing diamonds into an Edwardian design. Or how to design a ring with a bass fish that doesn't look old mannish. Then I have to draw them perfectly and three dimensionally. It takes a lot of brain power, thank God! I got tired of being stuck in jobs where I didn't have to think; where the boss did all the thinking for you.
Yaaaayyyy Antiques Roadshow is on!

Ohmygosh you guys! Stephen and I are having such a fun weekend! I took a four day weekend that coincides with Stephen's Mid Winter Break so we've been frolicking. I have lots to tell you guys about!
- We became Sam's Club Members! Holy crap! I found lots of awesome goodness. You should see my membership photo. I made a funny face. We found FRUIT SNACKS there guys. Fruit snacks! Our membership expired about 4.5 years ago and I forgot how great Sam's is. It's like Disneyland or something.
- We rented movies! And actually watched them! We watched RV with Robin Williams. I thought it was pretty ghey. Stephen was too nice to rip on it. Then we watched Simpson's the Movie which did not dissapoint.
- On a sad note, Annabelle, my cement yard goose got killed. We're not sure how it happened. I really hope it wasn't vandals. Her head broke off and everything. I was pretty upset. Stephen and I are going to try to revive her using a morphine drip and two part epoxy.
- We went to the Shedd Aquarium!!! A very entertaining update is coming soon, complete with fishies and flippy little dolphins and other shenanigans.
I look forward to catching up with you guys! I'm off to my friends page. Wooooot!

It amazes me how overpriced Tiffany & Co stuff is. It cracks me up. $2 worth of silver for $300 because it has a brand stamp on it and a signature! Guffaw. It's not even that special or unique. Woooo....I get a little teal pouch that it comes in! I feel sooooo special. What a joke! Someone please beat me up if I ever get that way with my stuff.

One of Stephen's kids, 1 year out of the high school died this week. He died of an overdose of heroin and crack. It's really super sad. He was a very talented kid who was going into graphic design. In fact, he was on one of the choir tours I went on to New York. It sucks because he made a bad choice and paid the ultimate price. The visitation was very painful. I've never been to a sadder one. There were tons of kids just standing there staring at the casket sobbing. Ugggh.
In other news, we're remodeling the front room of the house which is Stephen's den. We're doing it in a photography theme with old cameras and stuff. It is looking really good!
Oh yeah, and I needed one more elective class for my degree so I went to the college and signed up for...
WELDING!
Ha ha ha, you should have seen the look on the guidance counselor's face when I said that. It was great. Nervous? Of course I was! Yesterday was my first class and it felt like I was walking into a completely different country. There were guys gruntin' and talking about how good Busch's Baked Beans and venison hamburger are together when you're out in the woods huntin' varmints. Oh, and my teacher has a mullet! And you call him Hobie. That's right! Hee hee, what a cultural experience. I'm excited to work with metals on a larger and more dangerous scale. Sweet mother of high carbon steel! *cracks knuckles, grunts*
Wish me luck!

Hey Guys!
Thanks for all your awesome words of support on my last entry. You guys are absolutely right. Currently, I'm working on getting the finances around to purchase the store from Rob. He officially made the offer and I'd love to take it off his hands, even though I know it's a huge commitment and a lot of work.
In other news, has anyone played Diner Dash?
Holy snots! it's had me glued to the computer forever! How am I supposed to get anything done with this game on my computer? AHHHHH! Best game ever. I highly recommend it! It can get kind of frustrating at times. Ooh! And there are FOUR versions. How cool is that?!
Ugh, our cable has been cutting in and out for the past two days. It's really annoying, especially when you're trying to watch the news.

Ugh, does anyone else think the new Welches Grape Juice commercial is stupid? I hate commercials that feature little kids trying to be smart. It's so overdone. Every time it comes on Stephen laughs because it irritates me so much. *talks in jeering tone* "Don't worry daddddyy, the antioxidants will protect me" snort snort snort. Har har har! Wow Welches, I'm totally ROFLING. It makes me want to drink grape juice SOOOOO bad.
